Summary of operating Experience October 1970 Indian Point Unit 3 was synchronized to the bus for a total of 744 hours0.00861 days
0.207 hours
0.00123 weeks
2.83092e-4 months
producing a gross generation of 707,130 Mwe for this reporting period.
During the operating period, the unit experienced three load reductions.
At 2030 on October 6, 1978 a scheduled load reduction to 91% was made to allow Westinghouse to perform a hydrogen corrosion test of the secondary plant. On October 9 at 1243 a forced load reduction was made to take #31 heater drair. pump from service due to a blown mechanical seal. The seal was replaced and the plant restored to a normal full power l'ineup. At 2100
/ on October 13, 1978 a reduction in power was made to 500 !!we to perform additional maintenance on #31 heater drain pump mechanical seal. The unit was subsequently returned to a full power.
There were no unit trips for this entire reporting period.
