APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Duquesne Light Company Docket No. 50-334 Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit 1 License No. DPR-66 During inspection from June 1,1982 to July 7,1982 and in accordance with the NRC Enforcement Policy, 10CFR2 Appendix C (47FR9987, March 9, 1982), the following violation was identified:
Technical Specification 6.11 requires adherence to personnel radiation protection procedures. Radcon Manual Procedure 8.4, Radiation Work Permit (Access Control), Issue 1, Revision 1, June 5,1981, requires personnel to record pocket dosimetry readings on the appropriate Radiation Access Control Permit dosimetry data record sheet upon exiting the controlled area.
Contrary to the above, ten individuals failed to record such data on June 3, 1982 for Radiation Access Control Permits 82-23-R, 82-141-H, and 82-151-H.
This is a Severity Level V Violation (Supplement I).
Pursuant to the provisions of 10CFR2.201, Duquesne Light Company is hereby required to submit to this office within thirty days of the date of this Notice, (1) the corrective a written statement or explanation in reply, including (:
which will be taken to avoid further violations; and (3))the date when full steps which have been taken and the results achieved; 2 corrective steps canpliance will be achieved.
Where good cause is shown, consideration will be given to extending your response time.
