participate in a Region I symposium / workshop to be held at the Sheraton Valley Forge Hotel in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania on February 20, 1991 from noon to 5:00 p.m. and February. 21', 1991 from 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The. objective.of.
the symposium is to promote a dialog and better understanding between licensee's

engineering managers and NRC regarding engineering's role in support of..all plant-activities. We recommend that participation include senior nuclear executives.

The symposium is in the planning stage and preliminary topics for~ discussion have been selected:
elements of a good engineering organization,. licensees' actions with degraded conditions including operability /reportability determina--
tions, and the modification process including 10CFR 50.59 reviews.
As the plans for the symposium are further final l:od, interested individuals will be selected to participate as speakers or 4acilitators and a final agenda.
