VIRGINIA-ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNITS 1 and 2-CONTROL ROOM DESIGN REVIEW SCHEDULE UPDATE _.
3 On June 30,1986, Virginia Electric and Power Company submitted-the Control Room Design Review (CRDR) Final Summary Report (Serial Number 85-268C). This report j
delineated the corrective actions to be implemented for resolving the human engineering discrepancies identified at North Anna during the CRDR process. ' A schedule' was proposed which specified that the corrective actions would be completed in three phases-of two, four and eight year durations. These actions were designated'as immediate, short--
term, and long-term, respectively. The beginning of all three phases was established as.
1 January 1,1987.
j Based on that schedule, short-term items were to have been completed for both units by l
December 31,1990. At the time the schedule was originally established, both North Anna 1
units had refueling outages scheduled in 1990. However,'due to necessary rescheduling,.
j tne refueling outage for Unit 1 will now take place in early 1991._(outage scheduled January 4 - March 19,1991). Thus, the short term corrective actions for Unit 1, and those common to both units 1 and 2 that required an outage'to implement,~will now be i
completed at that time. Except for common outage items, the short-term corrective actions.
for North Anna Unit 2 will be completed during the current 1990 refueling outage, if you have further questions,-please contact us.
