Docket Nos. 50 361 and 50-362 Licensed Reactor Operator Leave of Absence San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Units 2 and 3 This letter is to inform you that Jesse W. Robinson is on a leave of absence from
- the Southern California Edison Company (SCE) until June 1991.
Mr. Robinson will not-be enrolled in the requalification program during the period of his leave of absence.
In accordance with'10 CFR 55.55, his license, No. Op-50131-1, has expired.
Mr. Robinson has been licensed under Docket No. 55-50222.
Mr. Robinson was granted a leave of absence in order that he might complete his Bachelor of Science Degree. The effective date of his leave of absence was September 17, 1990.
It is anticipated that Mr. Robinson will return from the leave of-absence in June 1991.
At-that time, it is SCE's intention to provide him with specialized training to ensure that he is familiar with the current plant configuration and operations. Upon completion of the training, a new' application for a Reactor Operator license will be submitted in accordance with 10 CFR 55 and, if appropriate,
- a. request for a waiver from the written and operating examination requirements pursuant to 10 CFR 55.47 will'be submitted.
