. Wolf Creek. Generating Station . License: NPF-42 <i During an NRC inspection conducted July 1-31, 1990,- one violation of NRC, requirements was identified. The violation, involved a licensed watchstander who had not maintained an' active license. In'accordance with the " General

. Statement of Policy and Procedure for NRC Enforcement Actions," 10 CFR Part 2, G Appendix C (1990)(Enforcement Policy), the violation is listed below:-

. include an individual with a senior' operator: license in addition to the- .

shift supervisor. . This individual is designated by the~ licensee as the supervising operator. Tomaintainanactivelicense,10CFR55.53(e) ,

requires that a senior operator actively' perform.the-functions of a  ;

senior operator a minimum of five 12-hour. shifts 'per calendar quarter.

5 Contrary to the above,.on-July 7,1990, an individual assumed the supervising operator watch without having performed five 12-hour shifts the preceding calendar quarter.

Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 2.201, Wolf = Creek Nuclear Operating.

Corporation is hereby required to -submit,to this office,.within 30 days of the- .

date of the letter transmitting this Notice ,a written statement or explanation in reply, including for each violation: (1) the reason for the-violation if admitted, (2) the corrective' steps which-have been taken and the  ;

results achieved, (3) the corrective steps which will be.taken:to avoid
