SUMMARY
MONTH: October 1993 McGuire Unit 1 began the month of October in an outage repairing a failed seal on a volume control pump. The unit was placed on-line on 10/5 at 1635. .During power escalation, the unit held at 22% l power for chemistry to identify a tube leak size. The unit was removed from service on 10/6 at 0145 to 10/18 at 1643 for steam generator tube plug repair. During power escalation, the unit held at approximately 20% power from 2110 to 2147 for chemistry, and at 73% power from 10/19 at 0454 to 0750 for chemistry. The unit was retumed to 100% full power at 1500. The unit operated at or near 100% full power for the remainder of the month.

SUMMARY
MONTH: October 1993 McGuire Unit 2 began the month of October in a steam generator inspection outage. The unit was placed on-line on 10/15 at 1352. During power escalation, the unit held at 30% power from 1605 to 1855 for ;
secondary chemistry. The unit held at 50% power from 2145 to 10/16 at 2000 for 'A' feedwater pump ;
turbine stop valve problems. The unit was retumed to 100% full power on 10/23 at 0002. The unit t operated at or near 100% for the remainder of the month, ,
