SUMMARY

MONTH: October 1993 McGuire Unit 1 began the month of October in an outage repairing a failed seal on a volume control pump. The unit was placed on-line on 10/5 at 1635. .During power escalation, the unit held at 22% l power for chemistry to identify a tube leak size. The unit was removed from service on 10/6 at 0145 to 10/18 at 1643 for steam generator tube plug repair. During power escalation, the unit held at approximately 20% power from 2110 to 2147 for chemistry, and at 73% power from 10/19 at 0454 to 0750 for chemistry. The unit was retumed to 100% full power at 1500. The unit operated at or near 100% full power for the remainder of the month. i Prepared by N. C. Simmons Telephone: 704-382-5263
