NARRATIVE

SUMMARY

l MONTH: October 1993 Catawba Unit 1 began the month of October increasing power from an outage to repair the turbine

{

electrical overspeed trip circuit. The unit was retumed to 100% full power on 10/1 at 1512. The unit started experienced a core coast down for end of cycle 7 refueling outage on 10/19 at 1400 to 10/29 at 1400. The unit started a p'wer decrease to remove the unit from service for end of cycle 7 refueling outage on 10/29 at 1400. The unit was removed from service for end ci cycle 7 refueling outage on 10/29 at 2248. The unit was in the outage for the remainder of the month.
