Dear Mr. Hauber:
Per my telephone conversation today with Betty Wright of your staff enc'osed is a revised export license application covering the request described below. Siemens Power Corporation (SPC) requests the issuance of an export license to authorize the shipment of enriched UF to the URENCO enrichment facilities in the Netherlands, Germany, 6 Eng!and and to COGEMA in France. The UF is to be blended for enrichment purposes at these 6 enrichment facilities and shipped to Bntish Nuclear Fuels, ABB Atom AB, or Fragema for conversion to UO and possibly pelletizing. After conversion /pellitization,the UO will be shipped 2 2 to the Siemens facilities in either Ungen or Hanau, Germany for use in LWR fuel fabrication for LWR's in Euratom and Sweden. I We anticipate shipping approximately three cylinders per year through 1997. The total quantity to be exported is 22,500 kgU and 1125 kg U-235. A check for $3100 was enclosed with the referenced letter. If you have questions, please contcet me at (509) 375-8663.
