1 Gentlemen:
l TV Electric, by letters TXX-90031 and TXX-90186 (referenced above) responded l
to NRC Generic Letter- (GL) 89-13, " Service Water System Problems Affecting
_i Safety Related Equipment." This letter provides updated information for
-i Recommended Action.Ill of TXX-90031 (reference 1.above).
In response to GL 89-13, Recommended Action III,lTU Electric informed the NRC that the " Corrosion Monitoring Program, Service Water Section" has been developedtoprovideameansbywhichsamplesb)ServiceWater-Systempiping-wall thickness will be periodically measured and trended.
Reference (2) notified the NRC that TU Electric has completed implementation of the requirements of GL 8913 for Unit 1.

.As an update to this response, the corrosion Monitoring Program has been developed with controlling procedures-in effect since February,1990.
Baseline data collection for the designated Service Water System examination.
sites is scheduled to commence by: October 8, 1990, and it is expected that~the collection of this baseline data will be completed by December 31, 1990.
Future examination of these sites will be-scheduled an a periodic basis as specified by the program requirements.
Implementation of the Corrosion Monitoring Program, including the collection of baseline data for Unit 2 will.be completed by Unit 2. fuel load.
