MCGUIRE UNIT 2 RESTART In accordance with my Confirmation of Action Letter (CAL) to you, dated December 29, 1993, you notified me in a letter dated January 6,1994, that a Significant Event Investigation Team (SEIT) and your McGuire staff have completed a comprehensive investigation of the loss of offsite power event that occurred on December 27, 1993.
In your letter you also reiterated your plan to provide to the NRC a schedule for reducing the probability of a Safety Injection actuation following a loss of off-site power event.
Based upon this commitment, your completed and planned corrective actions and the information you presented during the restart meeting conducted on January 5, 1994, I concurred with your intention to enter Mode 2 and restart McGuire Unit 2 in accordance with the facility Technical Specifications.
