NUCLEAR SOURCE FOUND IN RECYCLING TRUCK At 1:35 p.m. on May 7,1993, the NRC Region I was notified by a representative fmm the State of Connecticut that the source located at NS Realty Recycling Company was identified using a Series 10 Multichannel analyzer to be Radium-226, which is licensed by the State. He added that their records traced the source to the University of Connecticut and that the State will transport the source to the' custody of the University.
The State will submit a written report to the NRC Region 1.
