Ginna Nuclear Power Plant Docket No. 50-244 Gentlemen:
Rochester Gas & Electric Corporation (RG&E) has reviewed the 1
subject petition for rulemaking.
It is our opinion that the proposed rulemaking offers a needed clarification in support of the procurement of parts for nuclear plant applications.
The proposed rule provides for clear definition of the terms
" commercial grade item" and " dedication" and provides specificity for reporting responsibility.
RG&E, therefore, strongly supports the adoption of the proposed rule.
