McGuire Nuclear Station Docket Nos. 50-369, 370 Clarification of Proposed License Amendments Dated October 28, 1992 Gentlemen:
By letter dated October 28, 1992, Duke Power company submitted proposed license amendments to the facility operating licenses for McGuire -Nuclear Station Units 1 and 2-which revised the Reactor Vessel Material Surveillance Program - Withdrawal Schedule (Tablo 4.4-5)-and removed the Schedule from Technical Specifications in accordance with Generic Letter 91-01.
Subsequently, during a telephone conversation with a member of your staff, we were asked to clarify the proposed amendments.
In order to clarify the original submittal, McGuire Nuclear-3 Station. requests:
- 1) The Withdrawal Schedule (Table 4.4-5) for the Reactor Vessel Material Specimens be removed from Technical Specifications in-accordance with Generic Letter 91-01;-and
- 2) Separately, we request the NRC to review and approve the-revised Reactor Vessel Material Suriteillance Program Withdrawal Schedule (Table 4.4-5)
(previously submitted) in accordance with Appendix H to 10 CFR Part 50 so that it can subsequently be incorporated. in the updated safety analysis report.
.A copy of this clarification has been provided to the appropriate North Carolina state official.
