NRC INSPECTION OF PALO VERDE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION

UNITS 1, 2, AND 3; AND REPORT NOS. 50-528/93-37, 50-529/93-37,

AND 50-530/93-37

This letter refers to the routine inspection conducted by Mr. V. Beaston of

this office during September 20-24, 1993, of activities authorized by NRC

License Nos. NPF-41, NPF-51, and NPF-74, and to the findings discussed with

Mr. W. Ide and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection

on September 24, 1993.

Areas examined during this inspection are described in the enclosed inspection

report. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective

examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with

personnel, and observation of activities in progress.

No violations of NRC requirements were identified within the scope of this

inspection.

However, one unresolved item.is addressed in Section 2.c,

regarding licensee Incident Investigation Report No. 1-3-0375.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of

this letter and the enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
