LICENSING OF S0Il SAMPLES Region I has requested guidance regarding the need for a license to possess soil samples taken from the environment.
If the concentrations are below published criteria for release for unrestricted use, neither Region I or this Branch believe a license is required.
We request that your Branch review this issue and communicate directly to Region I your conclusions regarding environmental samples meeting unrestricted release criteria.
