On July. 9,'1990, TV Electric orally notified Mr. A. T. Howell of the Region IV

L staff of a deficiency involving the adequacy of. ventilation systems in the

-vicinity of the Main Steam Isolation Valves. This condition was. identified as i.
a result of exceeding the Unit 1 main steam penetration Technical Specification temperature limit.

Special Report No. SR-1-90-006-00, " Elevated Temperatures in Safeguards Building Normal Areas." submitted by.TXX-90205, dated June 8, 1990.

an interim'repert -(Unit 2) of a potentially reportable item under the provisions of-10CFR50.55(e).
l TU Electric is currently evaluating this deficiency. in relation to the-design Lof Unit'2, The next report will be submitted no later than October 2,
1990.
