The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during 4

the inspection.

Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective'

examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and

interviews with personnel.

- Two of your activities appeared to be in violation of NRC requirements.

The

first dealt with inadequate material review controls associated with solenoids,

for valves E51-F025 and E51-F026, allowing alternating current'instead of

direct current solenoids to be authorized.for installation, contrary to

10_CFR 50, Appendix B, Criterion VIII.

The second. dealt with implementation

inadequacies associated with an emergency diesel generator surveillance and.

- process computer changes.

The first violation'has-been categorized as a

.

licensee. identified Severity Level IV violation and the second as a Severity

Level V violation.

Since you have initiated' appropriate corrective actions

before-the inspection ended, in both cases, a notice of violation wi11 not be

You are to notify us in writing within 30 days, of the date'of this
