It was fourvi that the fai3ttres wen- due to ir@mper operation of the AC I solenoids on the EtSIV air operators. Purther investigation revealed a desiga i deficiency in tha AC solcocid pitmger. In cddition, natal shwings were fotaxi  !

in the solexcid manifold. The mtal shavirgs were a resttic of in+pno j manufacturing techniques. >

The solenoids and manifolds for all ruin st.eam isolation valves were disaccambled  ;

and cicaned. New pli.cners of an liieuwei design vero installed in all AC solenoids. '

All Mi1V's were denoustrated to function properly prior to retuming to powr operatien '
