In connection with their Petition filed with the Atomic Energy Cornission i

on July 12, 1973, for the irrediate derating of nine EdRs because of-alleged fuel densification problems, Friends of the Earth (FDE) filed with the AEC on December 13, 1973, a " Request for Decision" which was dimeted towa:xl proposed mvisions to the 'Ibchnical Specifications for' the nine plants m1ating to the fuel densification matter. On Decenter 17, 1973, infomation was transmitted to you conoeming the evaluation of General Electric fuel densification. On December 18, 1973, the enclosed letter was sent to the Counsel fbr FDE. 'Ihe letter, a-l cery of the AEC "Fercrandum and Order" dated Deceder 18,1973, and a copy of the Begulatory stafT " Technical Report on Densification of EO:0N Nuclear BWR Fuels, Supplerent 1" am being transmitted to you for your infbrmation.
