1his letter refers to the routine inspection conducted by Mr. Robert A.. McBrearty
on November 5 to November 9, 1990, at the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station,
Vernon, Vermont. Mr. McBrearty discussed the results of the inspection with
Mr. S. Jefferson of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection..
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection
Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection
consisted of selected examinations of procedures and representative records,
interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
