From October 22 - 26, 1990, the NRC administered requalification examinations
to employees of your cor my who operate the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power
Plant. The evaluation i

evaluation was undertaken for two purposes:
(1) to
evaluate individual c srator competency; and, (2) to evaluate the effectiveness
of the licensed operator requalification training program at Calvert Cliffs
power plant. Generic findings were discussed during the interim and at the
conclusion of the one week examination period with members of your staff
identified in the enclosed report.

One senior reactor operator witharr.1 from the exam due to medical reasons.
Since less than twelve operators were evaluated, a program evaluation was not
performed in conjunction with this examination.
Eight Senior Reactor Operators and three Reactor Operators passed all portions
!
of the NRC requalificatiot, examination. All crews passed the simulator _ portion
of the requalification exam. Section 3.0 of the attached report contains the
details of the examination.
