REFUELING INFORMATION DGCKET N0'.' 50-206 UNIT SONGS-1 DATE 6 July 1982 COMPLETED BY T. Raidy TELEPHONE 714-492-7700 Ext. 702 Date/ Time Event June 1, 0001 Unit is in cold shutdown status for upgrading seismic restraints and to perform miscellaneous maintenance work. June 9, 1205 North mixed-bed demineralizer placed in service; south demineralizer valved out because of high chlorides and suspended solids in the reactor coolant. The unsaturated north demineralizer reduced the reactor coolant boron concentration from 2358 ppm to 2147 ppm which is a violation of Tech. Spec. 3.6.lB(3). The Resident NRC Inspector was notified of this event at 1220 on June 10, 1982 after analysis of the Reactor Coolant revealed the reduction in boron concentration. SIR-82-24 and LER 82-016 were generated to document this event. June 14, 0210 South waste gas decay tank found at 0 pressure. The pressure had been approximately 25 psi. Isolated the tank and investigating the reason for the pressure drop. 6.22 x 10-{ysis of the tggk contents indicates that Ana curies of KR was released. The NRC was notified of this event and a subsequent LER 82-017 was generated to document this event. June 18, 2130 No. 2 Diesel Generator was returned to service after the pistons were modified and miscellaneous maintenance work was performed. The temporary 480 volt Diesel Generators are no longer required to be operable. June 30, 2400 The unit remains in cold shutdown status for seismic restraints modifications and miscellaneous maintenance.
