1 (JCCCNRS) was held in the Soviet Union at various locations from June 25 through July 6, 1990.
In addition, Commissioner Remick of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission attended several of the working group sessions as an observer and also had meetings with i

various Soviet Ministries and Institutos associated with our JCCCNRS activities.

The U.S. side of the Working Groups was headed by Themis Speis, Deputy Director of Research of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
The USSR side was headed by Nikolai Ponomarev-Stepnoy, First Deputy Director of the I.V.

Working Group reports summarize the agreements, recommendations.

and proposed future actions of each of the Working Groups for the JCCCNRS.
These are provided in Appendix 2.
A list of the participants in the Working Groep sessions, as well as observers, i
is provided in Appendix II.
In general, the meetings accomplished the goals and tasks as 1
l set out in the agreed upon agendas that were developed in advance of the meetings.
The issues addressed by all Working Groups were intensively discussed and both sides are pleased with the frank and candid level of discussion that was achieved.
Detailed information and data was exchanged by both sides and this provided an additional basis for the group discussions.
The list of the documents exchanged and reports presented for each session i
