REPORT OF VISIT TO THE U.S.S.R., JUNE 25 JULY 7, 1990 This memorandum summarizes the results of working group meetings held in Mosrew, U.S.S.R., June 25 29, 1990, under the auspices of the Joint Cooro.nating Committee on Civilian Nuclear Reactor Safety (JCCCNRS).
In addition, WG 10 Visited several power plants during the week of July 1-7, 1990.
The working groups that met were:
i WG 3 Radiation Embrittlement of the Housing and Support Structure 6 and Annealing of the Housing WG 4 Fire Safety WG 6 Severe Accidents i
WG-10 Erosion / Corrosion Destruction of Piping and Components The head of the delegation was Themis P. Spets. provides the memorandum of meeting signed by Dr. Speis and Dr. Ponomarev Stepnoy.
Enclosures 2 S are the meeting reports of the four working groups. is a copy of the agreement on thermal hydraulic research.
Of note was the signing of the bilateral agreement with the U.S.S.R. to cooperate in thermal hydraulic research which includes the U.S.S.R.'s membership in the NRC's International Code Assessment Program (ICAP).
