PROJECT NO. 6335-VA NORTH ANNA HYDROELECTRIC PROJECT PLAN AND SCHEDULE FOR DEVELOPMENT AND SUB MITTAL OF ANNUAL REPORTS OF EMBANKMENT INSTRUMENTATION AND SURVEY DATA Your letter dated November 2,1993, reiterated four recommendations made as a result of the Regional Engineer's annual inspection of the North Anna Hydroelectric facility. Pursuant to those recommendations, the following plan is hereby submitted:
1.
The monthly reports concerning burrowing animals is discontinued, effective immediately. Daily operator checks of the embankments will continue to identify new and active burrows, and any new or active animal burrow will be marked and filled as appropriate.
2.
Survey data plots will be submitted to FERC by January 31 of each year. Both an annual plot for 1993, and a summary plot for the period since the last independent consultant's inspection and report will be provided. The first plots will be submitted by January 31,1994.
3.
Grass cover will continue to be maintained at a low height through a vigorous mowing program during the grass cutting season.

Information gathered from other embankment instrumentation will be provided annually as requested.
Where piezometer locations permit, cross-section plots depicting the phreatic surfaces generated by the piezometer levels will be included. Maximum and minimum
() 6[] Q 71 historic readings will be included on the plots of piezometric data, and a drawing depicting the locations of active and inactive instruments will be provided. The initial information will be submitted by January 31,1994.
