NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE l
The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Comission)' has issued I
Amendment No. 72 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-53, issued to
.{
Baltimore Gas and Electric Company, which revised Technical Specifications
~

'i for operation of the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear ;;ower Plant, Unit No. 1 a
located in Calvert County, Maryland. The amendment is effective as of the date of issuance.
1.
The amendment revises the Technical Specifications to decrease the 1
maximum allowable response and closure times for the Main Steam Line j
Isolation Valves and to correct a typographical error which occurred in the issuance of Amendment No. 71.
The application for the amendment complies with the standards and j
requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and d
the Commission's rules and regulations. The Commission has made appropriate j
findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment. ' Prior
'public notice of this amendment was not required since the amendment a
does not involve a significant hazards consideration.
