Dear Mr. Lamberski:
This letter is in reply to your October 8, 1993 letter attaching
" Georgia Power Company's First Set of Interrogatories and Second Request for Production of Documents to the NRC Staff."
The information you are requesting is inexorably intertwined with information that you have previously requested and that the Staff is presently withholding from disclosure on the grounds that disclosure may jeopardize the ongoing investigation and possible enforcement action.
Our final response to your October 8,
- 1993, request will depend upon the Licensing Board's ruling upon your pending motion to compel the Staff to disclose office of Investigation documents and our response to the Board's ruling.
Please be assured that the NRC Staff and its counsel are mindful of GPC's request for the information sought. An intense effort is now underway by the Staff to review the record and arrive at a decision regarding possible enforcement action.
The Staff will respond to your October 8,1993 interrogatories and request for documents when the NRC reaches a
decision regarding the propriety of an enforc'ement action.
