I attach " Georgia Power Company's First Set of Interrogatories and Second' Request for Production of Documents to the NRC Staff," dated as of the date hereof.
Yesterday, I asked whet:ier I could send these interrogatories directly to the NRC Staff for response, in lieu of filing them with the presiding officer to make a determination pursuant to 10 C.F.R. s 2.720(h)(2)(ii). Today, you informed me that I could serve the interrogatories on the NRC Staff and that the Staff would determine whether to voluntarily respond after it reviewed the interrogatories.
