SUBJECT:
NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-445/93-35; 50-446/93-35
This refers to the inspection conducted by an NAC team from Region IV on
October 5-22, 1993. The inspection included a review of activities authorized
for your Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station, Units I and 2, facility. At
the conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed with you and
those trembers of your staff identified in the enclosed report.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. These
areas included reviews of modifications and design change packages, and
reviews of quality assurance audits and assessments of the engineering and
technical support organization. Within these areas, the inspection consisted
of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews
with personnel, and observation of activities in progress. The observations
from this inspection are documented in the Executive Summary on page iii of.
the enclosed report.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of
this letter and its enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
