SAFETY EVALUATION FOR EMERGENCY ACTION LEVEL l
CHANGES IN REVISION 15 0F V0GTLE'S EMERGENCY PLAN By memorandum dated July 13, 1993, the Emergency Preparedness Branch forwarded its initial review of the proposed emergency action level (EAL) changes in Revision 15 of Vogtle's emergency plan.
In that memorandum we identified several EALs where we required additional information from the licensee to adequately evaluate the proposed changes.
Vogtle responded to our concerns by forwarding the supplemental information in a letter dated September 10, 1993.
As a result of our review of the additional information and our discussions with the licensee, we have concluded that the proposed EALs, as revised, are consistent with the guidance in NUMARC/NESP-007, " Methodology for Development of Emergency Action Levels," and, therefore, continue to meet the requirements of 10 CFR 50.47(b)(4) and Appendix E to 10 CFR Part 50.
