VIRGIL C. SUMMER NUCLEAR STATION, UNIT NO. 1 (TAC NO. M87192).

By letter dated December 22, 1992, you submitted changes to.the bases of the Technical Specifications (TS) for the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station, Unit No. 1.

The changes reduce the low end of the predicted pH range of the water in the reactor building sump following a loss-of-coolant accident from 7.8 to I

7.5.

Enclosed please find the revised bases pages.

Under the provisions of 10 CFR 50.59, the subject revisions did not require review and approval by the staff. The staff may, however, review the associated 10 CFR 50.59 evaluation in a future inspection. This completes the staff's effort on TAC No. M87192.
