ACKNOWLEDGEMENT LETTER REGARDING IDENTIFIED CONCERNS Thank you for letter dated August 24, 1993,- in response to our July 24, 1993 letter identifing a security concern at your LaSalle Station.
In our letter, we requested that you determine if your badge issue area has 1
ever been left unattended and to address any security _ plan commitments or procedure requirements regarding the posting of the badge issue area.
Your response indicated that this concern was also brought to the attention of Station Security Management and your investigation showed that on-several-occasions the CECO badge issue area was left unattended.
Your response also indicated that your Security Post Orders have been changed to require that the Ceco sec'urity badge area be continuous manned.
Additionally, you indicated that your security plan and procedure requirements were' fully and adequately implemented and that the impact on the. safety / security of the facility'was insignificant.
We found that your investigation to be sufficient to support your conclusions and we have no further questions regarding this matter. We request that you retain the supporting documentation of your investigation for a minimum of one' yeat from the date of this letter.
In' accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a ' copy of this letter and your response without the enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
