INSTRUMENTATION IN BWRs" (TAC NO. M86914)

I By letter dated June 9,1993, Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Corporation (VYNPC) submitted a 15-day response to Bulletin 93-03, " Resolution of Issues Related to Reactor Vessel Water Level Instrumentation in BWRs." This letter stated why Vermont Yankee did not complete the requested short-term actions within the allotted time period. The staff has reviewed this letter and finds the short-term actions acceptable as discussed in the enclosed safety evaluation.

By letter dated July 30, 1993, VYNPC submitted its short-term compensatory actions and hardware modifications in response to Bulletin 93-03. The staff l

will review and provide its conclusions regarding this submittal separately.
