SURFACE AND GROUND-WATER SAMPLING PROGRAMS (TAC No. L30500)
In accordance *c;ith your amendment application dated December 21, 1992, and supplement s dated July 7, and May 25, 1993 (submitted July 20, 1993) and pursuant 7.o Part 70 to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Materials License Si,M-1227 is hereby amended to authorize changes in the environmental monitoring program as follows:
1.
Forage from Sample Station No. 6 shall be sampled monthly during the growing season.
2.
Five new wells, identified as GM-1, GM-5, GM-6, GM-7, and GM-8, and three original wells, TW-6, TW-7, and TW-21, shall be used to indicate leakage in the ground water near the lagoons.
Accordingly, Condition S-1 is amended to include the dates of December 21, 1992, and May 25 and July 7,1993, and a new Safety Condition S-5 is added as follows:
S-5. Lagoon and Ground-Water Monitoring a.
The licensee shall measure the water levels in each well before purging the wells prior to sampling.
b.
Each calendar quarter, the licensee shall collect water samples from the ground-water monitoring wells TW-6, TW-7, TW-21, GM-1, GM-5, GM-6, GM-7, and GM-8,. and shall analyze these samples for chloride, N0cN, NH -N, pH, and gross o/B.
3 All other conditions of this license shall remain the sae.
