This refers to the inspection conducted by R. Bernhard of this office on July 18,
1993, through August 14, 1993. The inspection included a review of activities

authorized for your Grand Gulf facility. At the conclusion of the inspection,
the findings were discussed with those members of your staff identified in the
.
enclosed report.

Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within these
areas, the' inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and
l
representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of activities
i

in progress.
l
The ' enclosed Inspection Report identifies activities that violated NRC
requirements that will not be subject to enforcement action because the
'
l
licensee's efforts in identifying and/or correcting the violation meet the
l
criteria specified in Section VII.B of the Enforcement Policy.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this

letter and its enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
