Dear Mr. Chairman:

Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas, currently has I before the NRC an appeal for an exemption to the enormous licensing fee they will be required to pay in order to operate ,

their nuclear reactor laboratory. I urge you to favcrably '

consider this appeal. '

This fee nearly equals the entire operating budget for the facility and would place a severe financial hardship on the University. In addition, the mission for the reactor is clearly for the public good with externalized benefits for the general public.

I urge you to take a look at KSU's situation to determine if  ;

any relief may be available. Thank you for your consideration.
