Dear Mr. Taylor:

On behalf of non-profit education institution licenses and the National Organization of Test Research and Training Reactors (TRTR), I would like to thank the Comnussion for the extension of the deadlines for payment of 1993 annual fees announced in your letter of August 6,1993 delineating the options available to these licenses regarding the billing for 1993 annual fees. In many cases this change in schedule requirements outlined in your letter will give non-profit education institution licensees the chance to proceed logically by first seeking a fee exemption and then making the necessary decision on relinquishing the license, paying the fee, etc. The community appreciates the Commission's efforts in this regarc' m.1 hopes to make good use of the time involved. The community particularly locks forward to tne announcement of the l

considerations that should be addressed in exemption requests referenced in your letter.

Again, thank you for providing this letter well before the earlier deadline and for the options outlined in the letter.

l Sincerely, William G. Vernetson Chairman, TRTR WGV:Imc CC:
