'de the below signed people, wish to bring to your attention, the fact that we am cur faailies, at times such as now are completely cut off from any avenue of escape in case of an energency at the Callaway County Nuclear Plant.
'ie all live within two to three miles of the plant and would presumably be among the first to be evacuated in the event of a nuclear disaster. During flood water our only exit is county road 469 which has a creek that must be forded, however, after a heavy rain, even this creek cannot be crossed for days at a time.
Sir, the undersignea respectiully request and expect you to speak with the appropriate authorities for the county, state, and Union Electric Co. te expedite as soon as possible, the building of a bridge across the said creek on county road 469 so we have a means of escap6 or evacuation in the event of an emercency at the Callaway County Nuclear Plant.
