SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE-J

]

UNIT 1

'f Unit 1, began July at 1093 MWe power level (100% reactor power).

i On 7/7/93 at 0815 there was an Rx trip during performance of PT-5.

Prior' to the i

trip a spurious alarm was received. Consequently. 1B RCP tripped which_resulted in-l a Rx trip.

4 i

Rx was critical at 1731 on 7/8/93.

Unit went On-Line on 7/9/93 at 1215 and power increased to 40% by 1458. Heater i

Drain Tank level control problems were experienced during the power increase.

Investigation discovered a leaking Heater Drain Tank rupture disc at 50% power level. Started Unit shutdown at 0750 on 7/10/93 to repair Heater Drain Tank rupture disc.

Unit was Off-Line at 1138 on 7/10/93.

j i'

Unit was back On-Line at 0038 on 7/11/93 after Heater Drain Tank rupture disc change out. Power increasing to 60%

At 1210 on 7/11/93 Unit I was returned to Load Dispatcher control with full power operation. The Unit concluded the reporting period at 1095 MWe power level (100% reactor power).

UNIT 2

.i Unit 2., began July at 1040 MWe power level (94.1% reactor power). There were no-l Load Reductions or Unit shutdowns during the month of July. Unit _2 was continuously :

on line for 156 days on 7/31/93. The Unit concluded the' reporting per_iod at 965 MWe-power level (87% reactor power).
