I am responding to your letter to Mr.' Richard Bangart of July 8,1993, which requested our timely revSew of the 3R-STAT Computer Model Topical Report submitted by Jene Vance.

I appreciate your concerns regarding the use of this report by both license appiicants and State regulatory agencies.

Therefore, we have placed a high priority on this project to expedite its completion.

I am pleased to accer,i ywr invitatier, to provide an update on the status of i

this project at the next Host State Technical Coordinating. Committee meeting on August 24-25, 1993.

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Coamission received the report on July 27, 1993, and we are currently conducting an acceptance review.
