NRC Security inspection - San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station This refers to the routine Safeguards inspection conducted by Mr. M. D.

Schuster of this office on June 7-11, 1993. The inspection included a review of activities for your San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS), Units 1, 2, and 3.

At the conclusion of the site visit on June 11,.1993, the findings were discussed with those members of your staff identified in the enclosed report.

Areas examined during this inspection are identified in the report. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with facility and contract personnel, and observations by the inspectors. The inspection findings are documented in the enclosed inspection report.

Within the scope of the inspection no violations or deviations 'were identified.

-This letter will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.

However, the material enclosed herewith contains Safeguards Information as defined by 10 CFR Part 73.21 and its disclnsure to unauthorized individuals.is prohibited by Section 147 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended. Therefore, the enclosure to this letter will not be placed in the Public Document Room.
