i Mr Dienhart's letter of July 30 outlined our respor.ses to the subject ACRS letter l
and mentioned several reports that we committed to furnish to you. Accordingly ve are forwarding to you, under separate cover, forty (40) copies each of the i
following reports:
l (1) Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant Unit No.1 - Stress Analysis Review Report - prepared by Bechtel Corporation, dated October 8, 1970.
(2) Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant - Design Report - Recirculation System - Document No. 22A2606 Rev 0 - prepared by the General Electric Company, dated April 1, 1970.
(3) Monticello - Stagnant Water or Low Steam Flow in Reactor Coolant System -
prepared by the General Electric Company.
Reports 1 and 2 above relate to the requested independent stress analysis check as item 1 in Mr Dienhart's letter and report 3 above covers item 3 of j
the letter. The biolog3. cal shield reporting mentioned in Mr Dienhart's letter under item 4 vill be conveyed to you next month. A reporting en leak detection i
(item 6) vill be submitted within the first 18 raonths of commercial operation i
as required under the Technical Specifications.
Sub:nission of the two later reports will satisfy the reporting commitments made in Mr Dienhart's letter of July 30, 1970.
