By letter datedLJuly 5,1990, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)-'
i informed the NRC of the-results of its observations of the offsite activities during the Trojan emergency preparedness exercise on November 15,-1989.= The letter from FEMA-states that five deficiencies were identified during the exercise.
Copies of the FEMA letter and report are enclosed. The five deficiencies-are' described on pages 56, 125, 129, 132, and 142 of the report (also see-summary tables on-pages 146, 164, 165, and 167).
It is our understanding i
that FEMA's report for the July 24, 1990, remedial drill will close the -
five deficiencies. The FEMA report also identifies other less significant areas requiring corrective action.-
Please provide us within 30 days of the date of this letter, a written-i response confirming the actions planned or taken to correct the identified deficiencies.
Inaccordancewith10CFR'2.790(a),acopyofthis'1etterandtheenclosures-will be. placed in the NRC public document room.
The response directed by this letter is not subject to the cle ance procedures of the Office of Management and Budget as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, PL 96-511.
