PGE RESPONSE TO NRC BULLETIN 88-10 AND SUPPLEMENT 1 TO BULLETIN 88-10 ON MOLDED CASE CIRCUIT BREAKERS (TAC NO. 71366)
By letters dated March 31, April 14, and July 25, 1989, Portland General Electric Company (PGE) responded to NRC Bulletin 88-10. As a result of Supplement I to Bulletin 88-10, an additional response was sent dated March 16,
- 1990, in its responses, PGE confirmed that all activities required to address the issue of substandard molded case circuit breakers discussed in Bulletin 88-10 had been performed, except that in response to Supplement 1, one additional breaker would be replaced during the 1990 refueling outage. By j
By letter dated July 6,1990, PGE confirmed that this replacement had been completed.
A detailed technical review of your responses has not been performed; however, this area may be subject to inspection at a later date.
If a subsequent inspection identifies deficiencies in your actions and responses, this issue will be reopened. Presently, the staff considers your response to Bulletin 88-10 complete for Trojan Nuclear Plant.
