- ~'S Entire room surfaces were smeared to check for smearable contamination.
Entire floor surface and 2 meters up the walls on both levels were surveyed for-fix-ed contamination. All equipment mounted on walls, handrails, auctwork and stairs were cur veved for both fixed and smearable contamination. Main floor was surveyed .for fixed contamination at each location covered by a floor tile (12"by 12"). Total of etcht locations (one spot on each wall at each level) had 100 cm' area of paint removed. Paint scrappings were surveyed and bare wall surface surveyed, found no detectable contamination during survey Paint scrappings were also sent to outside lab for analysis results were less than 2 dpm for each spot scrapped. See attached data sheets, pictures and blue prints for further infonnation.

u- 'L.: Page 2 of 12 i Continue - Radiation Survey Rooort No. 54 General Information About Room 157 (Plutonium Storace Vault) Room 157 was emptied of all equipment and materials. Initial. survey of the room floor was made before any cleaning was done. This initial survey is documented in Survey Report No. 47 (see Page 6). Tile and mastic was removed from the floor. A high pressure washer was used to clean upper floor grating, light fixtures and walls. Floor was then scrubbed. -No radioactive matenc's were painted over or covered. All electrical outlets, junction boxes, light fixtures, bells, alarms, etc., were surveyed. Ductwork, filter box and vacuum line were also surveyed. There are no sink or floor drains in the room. No items in the room were inaccessible to survey. No items in the room or the room itself are contaminated above release limits for Plutonium to the best of our knowledge.
