However, our letter dated May 16, 1990, requested ar
-r exemption from holding this. biennial onsite/offsite' full participation emergency exercisefat LGS during 1990.
This exemption request also indicated that we would conduct a limited 7
participation annual emergency-exercise-in lieu oflthe full o
i participation exercise during.the same time period should the exemption be granted.
The. applicable offsite emergency response organizations, along with the NRC Region I, have agreed on.
-rescheduling this full participation emergency exercise..
Therefore, we are withholding submittal of the scenario guidelines regarding this full participation emergency' exercise l
pending' resolution of the: exemption request.
If'this exemption request is not approved, we will submit the scenario. guidelines to support conducting this. emergency exercise as. currently.
scheduled for September 18, 1990.
However, if the exemption request is approved, we are investigating the' possibility of changing the date of the limited participation annual emergency-exercise, currently scheduled to be-conducted on. September 18, 1990, to the week of November 19,.1990.
The exercise scenario:
guidelines would be submitted sixty (60) days prior.to performing l
i the emergency exercise during the week of: November 19, 1990, in l
accordance with the August 9, 1989 NRC letter.
