APPENDIX AL NOTICE OF VIOLATION.
General Public Utilities Nuclear Corporation Docket No.
50-289 Three Mile Island,' Unit'1-License No. DPR-50 As a result of.the inspection conducted on May 7-11, 1990, and in accordance with thel" General Statement of Policy and Procedure for NRC Enforcement. Actions,
10 CFR Part 2,' Appendix C, the following violation was identified:
-10 CFR 50, Appendix 8, Criterion V requires that activities affecting quality-be accomplished iri accordance with procedures..."
Ocensee. Procedure No. SP-1101-41-003, Revision 2 for " Installation of Electrical Equipment," Section 4.4.3, Item C, states, in part that:
"Six (6) inch minimum free air space shall be maintained between redundant
- wiring... from the raceway entrance to. the termination points..."
Contrary to the.above, on May 11,1990, the 120 VAC - redundant power cables from containment high range radiation monitors RM-G22.and RM-G23 were found tied together within the PRF cabinet.
This violation is a Severity-Level IV, Supplement I.
