I am writing to send you three items for the license renewal of the University of Arizona TRIGA reactor. They are as follows:

The original copy of the map of the University Campus which was printed on page 6 of the f

A complete copy of the revised Security Plan, incorporating changes requested in your letter dated March 23, 1989 and my subsequent telephone conversations with Mr. Donald Carlson.

reactor committee on December 20, 1989 is also enclosed. This procedure was revised to l

address the comments in your letter.

Emergency Support Center identified by its room number, and with the frequency of -

, operability checks and calibrations for the survey meters in the emergency kit changed from semiannually.and annually to quarterly and semiannually. These changes address the two concerns presented by Ms. Rosemary Hogan of your office in out telephone conversations-about the draft Emergency Plan which was submitted with the Safety Analysis Report.

The modifications to the Security Plan were reviewed and approved by the University of Arizona Reactor Committee at its December,1989 meeting. The designation of the room to be used as the Emergency Support Center was approved by the Reactor Committee earlier to be used in the facility' emergency procedures.- The'other changes to the pages of the Emergency Plan which are enclosed
