Dear Mr. Seidle:
This letter is the final report on the questionable terminal lug crimps in the Wolf Creek Generating Station Main Control Panels, Auxiliary Relay Racks and Local Control Station. The Architect / Engineer and Kansas Gas and Electric Company (KG&E) have completed the evaluation of the suspect crimps and have concluded that this matter is not reportable under the requirements of 10CFR50.55(e).
Continuity and pull tests were conducted on 24 suspect lugs and the results were then analyzed by KG&E and the Architect / Engineer.
It was determined that, had the questionable crimps gone undetected, the safety of the plant would not have been adversely affected. Although the questionable crimps do not constitute a reportable event, they do represent poor workmanship. Therefore Rework Plan RJ-200-A has been developed and implemented to inspect and replace, if necessary, all lugs with questionable crimps used in the safety-related circuits in question.
